How to make the N510 IP Pro register as an extension in Asterisk:

Go to Telephony ==> Connections ==> Edit one of your connections and click “Show advanced settings”. Here is – from my experience – the minimum number of settings you need to change to make it work properly:

  • Authentication Name: (your extension number)
  • Authentication Password: (your password for the extension)
  • Username: (your extension number)
  • Display Name: (you can enter pretty much whatever you like)
  • Domain: (not empty)
  • Registration server: 192.168.X.Y
  • Outbound server address: 192.168.X.Y
